Sneak Peek: Sculpting fabric

Image

Nola is hyperventilating in excitement, and I’m almost there too, over what we’re doing in our atelier! It’s new, it’s fun, it’s modern, it’s, well, 7100 Islands.

We’re sewing T’nalak fabric, and then sculpting them. Tote bags like what you see in the photos above and below are my favorite.

Nola is happy about the textile vessels. The big ones we see in kitchens, holding fruit maybe (they are food-safe).

The smaller ones can be on your work table, keeping pencils, for example.

Now, more photos, just because we cannot resist:

Love them? Hate them? Don’t quite get them? Tell us what you think. Game!

Bisous where you want them,

Apol

  1. Love ’em, of course! How could someone possibly hate them? Good job, Apol! And Nola : ) Hi, Nola! I’m Fiona, Apol’s friend from our crazy college days ๐Ÿ˜€

  2. LOVE THEM!!! I really like how you’re taking such traditional fabrics and modernizing them, not just in form, but in function, too. ๐Ÿ™‚
